Edit videos by briefing in Pidgin or English

Updated 2026-11-04. By Oluwasegun Michael, who built Oyacut.

The short answer

With Oyacut you tell the editor what you want in your own words, typed or as a voice note, in English or Pidgin. Your own words stay in your video. After the first cut you can keep changing it by chat.

What can I put in a brief?

Anything you would tell a human editor: the mood, the length, what to keep, what to cut. You can also have Oyacut write a script and scroll it under the camera as a teleprompter before you film.

What if I do not know what I want?

If you do not pick a format or a style, Oyacut reads your clip and picks the format and look that fit your footage.

Can I change the result afterwards?

Yes. Ask by chat or tap a suggestion, such as cut the intro, bigger captions or different music. Changes to a video you have made are free.
